Apple brings Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro to iPad

Logic Pro, designed for audio editing and music production, has been highly regarded for its extensive capabilities and compatibility with other professional apps. Its availability has been limited to Mac users, hindering accessibility for those without Mac devices. However, with the introduction of the dedicated iPad version, Apple is expanding the reach of Logic Pro to a broader audience. Similar to Final Cut Pro, the iPad version of Logic Pro will also be available for subscription, priced at $4.99 per month or $49 per year.

The iPad versions of both Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro leverage the touchscreen capabilities of the device, introducing new features to enhance navigation and editing. Final Cut Pro now includes a jog wheel for easy timeline navigation and supports the use of Apple Pencil with the new Live Draw feature, allowing users to annotate directly on video content. Another notable addition is the Scene Removal Mask, a filter that enables the quick and seamless removal and replacement of backgrounds without requiring a green screen.
