An update is coming for Netflix’s ad-supported tier

Along with celebrating one year of the ad-supported tier, Netflix also celebrated 15 million active users on their cheapest tier, and that in itself is a great achievement for the streaming giant. A final announcement that Netflix made was that they  are working on a new ad format for binge watchers. In this, if a viewer was to watch 3 episodes of his/her favourite tv show with ads, the 4th episode could be ad-free. They hope that this will attract more subscribers to their platform. This feature will be released in 2024, and the company hopes that it will be yet another blow to their rivals.
