TSMC’s N3 process is projected to offer 10 to 15 per cent higher speed with the same power consumption. This level of efficiency represents a significant step up from the current N5 process technology. The new chips are also expected to use the AM5 platform until at least 2025, with support for the next generation of AMD Ryzen desktop processors.
