Amazon has unveiled Project Amelia, a generative AI-powered personal assistant designed to help sellers streamline and grow their businesses. Built on AWS Bedrock, Project Amelia offers personalized insights and business metrics to improve productivity, assist with product development, compliance, advertising, sales forecasting, and inventory management.
What Can Project Amelia Do?
Project Amelia will help sellers address common challenges with tailored advice. Sellers can ask Amelia questions to receive instant, AI-generated guidance. By learning from a seller’s unique business needs, Amelia adapts to offer increasingly relevant insights over time.
The AI assistant will focus on three key areas during its initial rollout: answering knowledge-based questions, providing real-time business updates and metrics, and resolving common issues.
Future of AI-Powered Seller Support
In the coming months, Amazon plans to expand Project Amelia’s capabilities, allowing it to handle more complex tasks on behalf of sellers. Initially available to select US sellers, the AI assistant will be rolled out to a broader audience across the US, with international expansions planned by the end of the year.
Empowering Sellers for Success
According to Mary Beth Westmoreland, VP for Worldwide Selling Partner Experience at Amazon, the goal of Project Amelia is to equip sellers with the tools needed to succeed in an increasingly competitive market. “We’re excited for what’s to come as Project Amelia evolves with more tailored responses and deeper business insights for sellers,” she said.
