Amazon has introduced Prime Video Mobile Edition, which costs $599 per year. Users may watch and download their favourite Standard Definition episodes and movies (SD). Users may sign up for this plan using the Prime Video App for Android or online primevideo.com.
Amazon has created a Prime Video Mobile Edition to make streaming more inexpensive and accessible as more consumers flock to online streaming channels. It unveiled a $599 per year single-user subscription package that would only function on mobile devices. This effort makes it simple to access a wide range of entertainment, from movies to sports events, from anywhere and at any time.
The mobile-only Prime video package was created last year in collaboration with Bharti Airtel, but it was only available to its telecom customers. The Amazon Prime Video Mobile version is now accessible to all customers, allowing them to view premium content in Standard Definition (SD) quality.
Existing Prime Video features such as X-ray powered by IMDb, downloads for offline watching, Indian and foreign movies, Amazon Originals, LIVE cricket, and more will be available to users. As a result, users may explore and binge-watch various forms of material from the convenience of their mobile phones.
Android users may subscribe to the plan directly via the Prime Video app, or they can purchase the yearly subscription through the website primevideo.com.’
Gaurav Gandhi, vice president of Prime Video India, said, “Over the past 6 years, we have witnessed tremendous growth for Prime Video in India.” The service has become the favourite destination for premium entertainment, with viewers from 99% of the country’s pin codes. We are delighted to debut Prime Video Mobile Edition’s yearly plan, which is guided by our aim of making high-quality entertainment more accessible throughout the nation. This world-first invention had a tremendous reaction from Indian customers when we debuted it via a telecom association last year, and we are expanding its reach by making it accessible directly for subscription through Prime Video’s app and website.”
“India is one of our fastest growing and most engaged locales worldwide,” said Kelly Day, vice president of International Prime Video, in response to the launch. “Our success in the country can be attributed to innovations that are focused on creating an exceptional entertainment experience for customers. In fact, India is turning into an innovation hub for Prime Video. An initiative like Prime Video Mobile Edition, which had its genesis in India, is now being rolled out across multiple countries in Latin America and South East Asia. We are confident that the new Prime Video Mobile Edition annual plan will further help accelerate the growth of our India business and give an even larger customer base access to high-quality content on the service. With this launch, we look forward to entertaining every Indian with our popular on-demand entertainment content and live sports.”
Prime Video Mobile Edition is the newest OTT platform to provide mobile-only services. And it is unquestionably a step forward in making internet streaming in several languages more accessible to Indian customers.
