Alpine driver Pierre Gasly ‘given more leeway’ to avoid penalty points

Team boss Otmar Szafnauer revealed that they held a meeting with Gasly and his engineering team between the races in Spain and the upcoming event to discuss communication strategies, the timing of information relayed to Gasly, and how he can effectively utilize that information.

Gasly qualified in fourth place at the Barcelona circuit but lost positions after starting in seventh and eventually finished the race in tenth. In contrast, his teammate Esteban Ocon, who started in seventh, crossed the line in eighth.
