The idea may or may not influence the final production version of Acura’s first electric vehicle, which will be constructed on General Motors’ Ultium electric architecture owing to a collaboration between the Detroit-based carmaker and Acura’s parent company, Honda.
The Acura Precision, like the Honda Prologue, will be made in GM’s Spring Hill, Tennessee, facility, which also produces the Cadillac Lyriq. Acura is designing the exteriors and interiors under the arrangement with GM, while GM will develop the platform to suit Honda and Acura’s standards.
