Acer Unveils Ultra-Fast Gaming Monitor with 540Hz Refresh Rate to Compete with Asus and Alienware

Acer Nitro XV242F Gaming Monitor Launches in China with Impressive Specs, 540Hz Refresh Rate, and Potential to Challenge Asus and Alienware.

According to a third-party listing for the Nitro XV242F, it shares several specifications with the Asus ROG Swift Pro PG248QP, including the use of an AU Optronics display panel with features such as 400 nits of brightness, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 99% sRGB, and 90% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, as well as a 10-bit color depth. However, the notable difference is that the Acer monitor is described as Nvidia G-Sync compatible, while the Asus monitor features a dedicated Nvidia G-Sync processor.

In addition to challenging Asus, the Acer Nitro XV242F enters direct competition with Alienware’s own 500Hz refresh rate gaming monitors, such as the Alienware AW2524H 500Hz and the recently released Alienware AW2524HF. The Alienware AW2524H has received high praise and is considered one of the best gaming monitors available.
