According to reports, Apple’s iPhone 14 event will take place in early September

Apple is targeting a September 7th date for its next product launch event, according to reports. The company typically holds a large event in the first half of September, and we now have a date that we can circle on the calendar. This event, like the others held during the COVID-19 pandemic, is scheduled to be streamed live online.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 14 lineup at the event, which will include the base iPhone 14, a new large-screen iPhone 14, an iPhone 14 Pro, and an iPhone 14 Pro Max. The Pro phones are expected to get some of the more flashy upgrades, including the removal of the notch in favor of a pill-shaped hole-punch cutout, an always-on display, and the next-generation A-series processor. In previous years, the iPhones revealed at the event have gone on sale soon after — reports indicate that store employees have been asked to prepare for some kind of launch on September 16th — so if you’re looking to upgrade, you might want to get your wallet ready.

Apple is also expected to announce Apple Watch updates at the event, including a new higher-end rugged model and a revised Apple Watch SE. Apple is also rumored to be working on the next generation of AirPods Pro, which could include lossless audio support, a new entry-level iPad without a headphone jack, and other products, so there are many potential products Apple could reveal at the upcoming event.
