Empty trash automatically
Deleting the redundant stuff from your Mac will not work alone because you must also clear them from the trash. If you leave them in the trash, these files still take up space. You can simplify the task by setting the trash to empty automatically. It will clear the deleted items after 30 days. Remember that you cannot recover items once you empty the trash, so be very sure when you put them in there.
