Google has made accessing Gmail offline with a new web app boosting your productivity and preparing for the times when there is no internet access on your computer. The new app is designed for accessing, managing and sending email (sends when you are connected back to internet) while you’re disconnected from the web.

How to enable Gmail offline on your computer?
Gmail offline only works on chrome browser as of now Google will be releasing apps for other browsers once they support the functionality.
Install the Gmail offline chrome extension.
Launch the Gmail offline web app by opening a new tab in Chrome; In the new tab pane you will see a Gmail Offline Icon.
Click on enable Gmail offline and sign in with your Gmail id and password.
