Canon strengthens 4K camera segment with C300 Mark II and XC10

In collaboration with its partner National Stores, Canon unveiled two powerful cameras–the Canon EOS C300 Mark II targeted at the professionals in the field of film production and broadcasting and the Canon XC10 4K Camcorder, targeted at amateurs who are interested in shooting premium quality videos and video journalists who need a high-end camera that is light weight and easy to use.

4K-cameras boast a pixel format of 3840 x 2160 pixels four times that of the current 1920 x 1080 Full HD television sets, meaning it has greater clarity and depth. The broadcast, satellite and digital media sectors are investing heavily in ultra-high definition (4K) cameras and are looking at ways to create creative, innovative content.
