Facebook has become an integral part of everyone’s lives due to the phenomenon called social networking. One can argue that the biggest thing to happen to social media and social networking is Facebook, and they would be right. Whats more is that the company has cemented its feet into the social scene further after the recent acquisitions of Instagram and WhatsApp, making it also one of the most rounded out platforms on the internet and a content creator’s paradise.
Facebook allows us to post any number of posts on any topic under the sun. This can be personal, professional or even branded content. Now, if you are creating a post related to a particular brand or user and you want to ensure that they interact with it or at least see it, you can tag them in the post.
In this tutorial, we will show you how to tag a user on Facebook.
Step 1. Open the web browser on your PC/Laptop.
Step 2. In the URL bar, type in www.facebook.com.
Step 3. Sign in to your Facebook account.
Step 4. On the home page, click on the entry window under the ‘Create Post‘ tab.
Step 5. Type in the post and then tag the account in the post by using the ‘@username‘ format.
Step 6. You will now see the various accounts in the drop down list.
Step 7. Click on the right account and you are done.
Step 8. Click on the ‘Post‘ button to upload your post on Facebook.
Once you post the content, the tagged account/accounts get a notification about your post, and you will see that more often than not, they will interact with it.
Make sure you do not continuously tag accounts in all the posts, it can rub them the wrong way and sometimes, the accounts may even block you. Use this feature responsibly.
