One of the most important parts of our lives today is messaging. We send thousands of messages every day to our family, friends, and even colleagues. These messages can be simple greetings or even contain confidential data or media. Recently, the digital world was plagued with security issues, with news coming in that many popular social media platforms had resorted to some shady activity and as a result, the seemingly private information of users was no longer safe. To counter this breach of data, the concept of end to end encryption was introduced.

However, even with these security protocols, there are some apps that do not adhere to these norms and sell user data anyways. If you are tired of this ambiguity, you should go for the Signal messaging app.

The Signal Messaging app does offer a very compelling package for those of you who want to experience truly secure messaging. However, if your experience with Signal has not been good, or you just don’t find the app useful anymore, then the best solution is to remove the app from your device.

Now, keep in mind, deleting the Signal Messaging app is quite default since it is not a system app. All you have to do is to proceed with the standard deletion process for apps and you should be able to remove the app from your device very easily. However, deleting the Signal App will not delete your Signal account. This means that you can always re-install the Signal app and login to your account to restore all the data.

If you truly want to get off the Signal platform, this is what you should do before deleting the Signal Messaging app.

Step 1. Open the Signal Messaging app on your smartphone.

Step 2. Tap on the profile icon at the top left hand side of the Signal home page.
