As part of Google’s ongoing efforts to create a cohesive ecosystem, the company gradually integrated its diverse range of smart home products into the Home app. However, users of the first-generation Nest Cam Indoor devices were confined to the original application for device management.
The recent update effectively breaks down this barrier. For users enrolled in the public preview version, the Home app now extends support to the first-gen Nest Cam Indoor model. This integration unlocks an enriched camera history experience, enabling users to conveniently access past footage and data. Additionally, users can elevate the convenience factor by adding the camera to their Favorites tab within the Home app. This ensures that the camera’s live feed is readily accessible upon launching the application.
