Meaning – The term RFA, or request for the announcement, refers to the primary, formal, document that is at the core of the announcement process and product release.
When an organization is preparing to announce a product or a new offering, one of the first things they have to do is to prepare a request for the announcement. Once this request is put in, the group responsible for the launch looks over the preparations and the status of the product or the offering, and if everything is in order and on schedule, they can go ahead with the official launch event.
Example of usage – “As she was part of the group responsible for the launch, she received the request for an announcement from the organization, and immediately, she started checking on the preparations of the event and the product, before giving her response.”
