Offsite Meeting

Meaning – The term offsite meeting, refers to the meeting that the managers and higher-ups of the organization take, in order to recharge and discuss mission-critical topics regarding the ongoing and future projects, as well as the future of the organization, in a more private setting.

Usually, the management of the company plans such trips once a year, where they head to a location that is away from the city or the organization. This way, they can be together in a private setting and discuss the aforementioned topics without risking other people listening in or eavesdropping.

Example of usage“The CEO personally planned the itinerary for the offsite meeting and once the planning was completed, he made sure that he personally communicated the details of the meeting to the concerned individuals. This way, no other employee would know where the meeting was being held.”
