Meaning – The term nums, refers to the word ‘numbers’ and is defined as the figures required to meet a certain quantitative goal or target. In an organization, there are many targets or goals, whose success or failure is determined by numerical data. In such cases, the manager of the group must ensure that the employees under him/her, work efficiently in order to achieve the nums for the target.
The organization may alter the nums at any given time, depending on the status of the project and the updated requirement of results. The employees must adapt to these changes and achieve the nums, whatever they may be.
Example of usage – “During the annual meeting, the manager went through the performance of her group throughout the year, and announced that they had successfully achieved the nums for each of the projects and that the target will be higher next year.”
