Meaning – The term net-net, refers to the process of truncating a 3000-word document, into less than 20 words. This technique is used by managers within organizations, to train the employees in how to they can give a presentation on the spot in a limited time. The first step in the process is to challenge employees to take a 3000-word article and summarise it in less than 20 words.
It may seem tricky at times, but once the employees masters this technique, it becomes very easy to present huge presentations into a few simple sentences.
Example of usage – “When he prepared his document to take it to his manager for presentation, he was instructed by the manager to net-net the article and return the next day. It was very challenging but the employee was able to get it done.”
