Meaning – The term net it out refers to the term used by managers when they want a simplified explanation of the solution to a problem, rather than listening to the highly technical breakdowns. Usually, the manager will tell the employee to net it out, where there is limited time on hand and the manager is completely ok, understanding the simplified solution, as long as the employee includes all the main points.
It is not a wrong practice for the manager to ask the employees to net out the explanations as there is always scope to go through the more comprehensive solutions when time permits.
Example of usage – “The developer had a twenty-page document ready for presentation, but due to the time crunch, the manager told him to net it out, and present the complete document at a later date.”
