Meaning – The term MQSeries, refers to a family of IBM licensed programs that provide message queuing services.
Massive amounts of data move as messages between applications, systems, and services at any given time. If an application isn’t ready or if there’s a service interruption, messages and transactions can be lost or duplicated, costing businesses time and money to make things right.
IBM has expertly refined IBM MQ over 25 years on the market. With MQ, if a message can’t be delivered immediately, it’s secured in a queue, where it waits until delivery is assured.
Example of usage – “An additional helpful feature is that its messaging scheme requires the application that receives the message to confirm receipt. If no confirmation materializes, the message is re-sent by the MQSeries. IBM asserts that MQSeries can connect any two commercial systems that are in current business use.”
