Meaning – The term interactive, refers to a program or software that takes user input and depending on the entry, gives back an appropriate response. This makes the package more user-friendly, as the user input is now given importance.
Back in the day, the software packages were interactive to a certain degree. There were only certain areas within the software that the user could actually manipulate. However, today, the user can control 80to 90% of the software package, and get the desired output.
Today, the more the software is interactive, the better it does in the market. Even mainstream operating systems have started incorporating interactive features to make the user experience a lot more intimate.
