Meaning – The word heartbeat, refers to the signal that one device sends to a partner device, to indicate that it is still working and active. Usually, when you have devices that are paired to each other, it is important that the devices communicate with each other in order to tell each other that they are active and that signals can be sent and received.
From the perspective of the user, the heartbeat that is sent between two connected devices shows that the two devices are still linked and operational, so the user in turn can carry out the desired operations and tasks.
Example of usage – “He used two connected devices for his tasks, and he always looked for the heartbeat signals before performing any operations. If there was no heartbeat, he would ensure that the two devices are charged before attempting the operation again.”
