Meaning – The term handheld device, refers to gadgets and electronic devices that can be used by individuals, from the palm of their hands. These devices allow users to accomplish tasks that would have been possible, only with computers, from their hands.
Smartphones are the best example of handheld devices. Thanks to technological advancements through the years, the smartphone has evolved and today, most of the laptop or desktop-based tasks can be easily achieved directly from the device itself, saving time, space, and energy.
