Groupware

Meaning – The term groupware, refers to the software package that allows people to collaborate in groups, no matter where each individual is around the world.

In a period of time when working from home has become normal, groupware is allowing people around the world to communicate and collaborate with each other. Groupware allows people to collaborate on documents where one user can start a document and hand it off to his/her teammate. Users can even use groupware to share files and folders, or even media, with other users within the group. This can be done individually, or even within the group as a whole.

Example of usage“Since she was instructed to work from home for the rest of the year, she had to resort to groupware to get her work done in a timely manner.”
