Meaning – The term functionality, refers to the ability of a product or software to perform certain actions or functions. A product or a software package comes with a preset list of functionalities that they can perform. This allows users to ascertain whether or not the particular product or software package is suited o their needs.
The company or developers can always add in new functionalities or improve existing new ones through product upgrades or software overhauls.
In information technology, functionality is the sum or any aspect of what a product, such as a software application or computing device, can do for a user.
How easy it is to use the product’s functionalities, is purely subjective as some users may find it easy to use, while others may struggle with the same.
