Meaning – The term exposure, refers to a matter within an organization, that can lead to unnecessary and undesirable problems in the day-to-day working of the system. Exposure is usually spotted within a project that is going on within the organization. There may be certain aspects of the project that are problematic and can lead to long term adversities. Such parts of the project are termed as exposures.
On the flip side, the term exposure can also be used in a positive sense. Whenever a work product is visible to the top levels of the management, the employee gains a level of attention, which tends to work in his/her favour.
Example of usage – “She had created an excellent program that automated most of the tedious work, and when she floated the same on the company forum, she got some great exposure for the same.”
