Meaning – The term ‘end user’, refers to the person that is at the end of the chain of hardware, systems, and interfaces. Companies around the world follow a chain system, wherein they start if with the ideation, where the idea for a product is conceived. Next, this idea is worked upon and a proof of concept is prepared.
Once the proof of concept is validated, the product goes into development and after the hardware, software and interfaces are ready and tested to match the quality guidelines, the whole package is marketed and released to the consumers. These consumers are known as the end-user.
Usually, the end-user is the one that receives and experiences all the benefits of a product or service.
Example of usage – “The company developed a phone that was targeted at satisfying the gaming needs of the end-user.”
