Emulation Mode

Meaning – The term emulation mode, refers to the operation mode of a computer that is used to run a platform that is not primarily written for it. To explain this a little easier, consider the process of emulation. When you download and install an emulator for a particular OS or console, on your computer, chances are that the emulator will not run from the get-go. There are cases where the computer must be set to a specific emulation mode in order to properly function.

The mode that the computer and even the emulator is set to, in order to operate and perform the desired operation, is called the emulation mode.

Example of usage“Since he had a pretty old computer, he had to set it to the proper emulation mode, in order to run the emulator that he had just downloaded.”
