Electronic Mail

Meaning – Electronic mail, or email, is a type of communication in which data can be sent, received, and stored using a telecommunication network. Electronic devices are the means through which people can send electronic mails to each other.

The electronic mail was designed to replace traditional letters that people would send in the earlier days, with the simple reason that they took the effort to write, and a long time to reach, if the recipient lived in an inaccessible part of the world. An email, on the other hand, is directly delivered into the digital mailbox of the desired recipient and can consist of attachments such as media content, documents, files, and much more.

Example of usage“She got her parents a new computer and the first thing she did, was taught them how to send an email, so that they could keep in touch her easily.”
