Meaning – The drop-dead date is the time or deadline by which, the designated process or task must be completed, in order to retain one’s honor and dignity.
In many organizations, the employees working on projects, are given a drop-dead date. This is usually the outer limit or desired time frame within which the project is to be completed. Failure to do so results in the employee facing the consequences from the organization and the client.
The act of setting a drop-dead date is encouraged across organizations around the world, as it brings in a sense of responsibility and punctuality in the employees, and ensures a high level of efficiency in all the tasks.
