Meaning – The term dedicated channel, refers to the computer channel or communication line, that is used for a specific purpose.
The computer system us used to perform many different tasks, throughout the course of an average day, and there are some tasks, that are specific, and cannot be performed on a public platform. In such cases, a dedicated channel is used to perform these tasks, so that only the people responsible can see the task in action, and also perform necessary corrections on the same, without worrying about unnecessary interruptions from other non-relevant individuals.
Even in the context of communication, people always prefer to communicate over a dedicated line, as the performance is better and the information being shared remains between the caller and the recipient, thereby keeping the content secure.
