Meaning – The word database, refers to the sequential collection of data, stored in a computer system. The database is usually controlled and operated, using a database management system, and these two, along with the other associated applications, form the database system, which is commonly known as just the database.
The Data that is contained in a particular database, is arranged in an organised manner, in the form of rows and columns, like a table.
The data can then be easily accessed, managed, modified, updated, controlled, and organized. Most databases use structured query language (SQL) for writing and querying data.
