Meaning – The word cut, in the context of computing, refers to the process of removing an item from one location, and moving it to the clipboard. Once it is placed in the clipboard, the user can paste it wherever required.
The cut operation may be used, only in programs where the removal of text or images is allowed. If the program does not allow for the removal of content, a similar result can be obtained with the copy command.
