Meaning – The word copy, refers to the action, where a copy of the selected objects is placed on the clipboard. All major operating systems in the market, allow the users to perform this copy function, as it reduces time and prevents silly errors in their tasks.
The copy function allows users to create and save a copy of text, links, images and even 3D objects in some cases, onto the clipboard, where it resides, until the moment when the user copies something new, and this new copied item replaces the current object, within the clipboard.
The copy function is also one of the three fundamental actions that can be performed on the PC (Cut, Copy and Paste).
Example – “Instead fo typing the paragraph again and again, he simply copied the paragraph and pasted the same in every new document.”
