Compressed Video

Meaning – A video file is usually very big, and it becomes very difficult when we have to share this file with our friends, family or colleagues. There are cases where a short demo clip is sized in the MBs or even GBs. In order to make this video file manageable, the first thing people want to do is reduce its size.

This can be achieved by digitally encoding and decoding a video image or segment using a variety of computer techniques. The resulting video that we get, after this process is completed, is called a compressed video.

This compressed video can now be shared on various platforms, or even with friends and family, without a problem. However, it is important to remember that sometimes, compressing a video can result in a loss of quality.

Example of usage “She made a demo reel of her design portfolio, but had to compress it in order to send it in for review.”
