Meaning – The word bullet refers to one of the items among a list of items that has been prepared, based on a topic or task requirement. The person who develops these lists ensures that every Bullet in the list holds the absolute critical information about the particular step, while additional details are either explained later on in the presentation slides or documents, or manually by the speaker.
There is no limit to the number of bullets that can be included in a list, as long as the content is being adequately covered. Even when you look at basic household chores, forming a list full of bullets is easier to follow, compared to a list full of comprehensive instructions.
Example of usage – “In today’s world, time is of the essence, and people generally do not sit through a presentation if the slide contains paragraphs of information. To make sure that the point is put across completely, the presenter uses bullets to establish a fact and then manually explains it to the audience.”
