Dead by Daylight Adds New Content to Year 7 Roadmap

Dead by Daylight’s Year 7 plan has been revised, and various new features will be added in the next months. Though 2023 was another tremendous year for Dead by Daylight, the game will go above and above by attempting to add even more new content before its eight-year anniversary in June.

Dead by Daylight gives players with a general roadmap of what to anticipate for the following calendar year at the start of each new year for the game, which starts during the anniversary broadcast in June. Year 7 of Dead by Daylight began in June 2022, introducing the Dredge, one of the most aesthetically spectacular murderers on its ever-expanding roster, before refining previous characters via many new tomes. The following two volumes contained legendary Resident Evil characters and villains, as well as unique material produced by Behaviour.

The Year 7 roadmap has been revised, and it now informs players that they can anticipate changes to perks, accessibility, the Bloodweb, bots, and map graphics, as well as a brand-new chapter in March 2023. The current Dead by Daylight meta has severe issues, and minor modifications to oppressive perks like eruption and call of brine will help a lot. Since the blood point maximum was increased to two million, the Bloodweb has been a big subject of discontent, with one player estimating that it takes almost 16 hours in the Bloodweb to achieve prestige 100 on a character. Though the Bloodweb updates are not yet finalised, Behaviour promises that they will “make it easier and faster to spend your Bloodpoints than ever before.”

Maps will also undergo significant alterations. To begin, Behaviour will continue to graphically improve older maps as part of its “The Realm Beyond” initiative, which started in 2021. Perhaps more importantly, the game will have a feature that prevents players from ever receiving the same map twice in a row, while also somewhat decreasing the chances of receiving it again if you have previously played on it. This modification will improve map variation and prevent murderers from playing solely on maps that benefit survivors. As part of continuing accessibility updates, an optional visual indication for the terror radius has been added, as has the opportunity to equip bots with perks during custom battles.

There is no better time than the present to start playing Dead by Daylight since the Moonlight Burrow Lunar New Year event is now ongoing and numerous changes will be before June 2023. Even if the changes themselves aren’t your cup of tea, the prospect of a new chapter beginning in March is enough to make anybody enthusiastic.
